Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Missouri to model vehicle dynamics, design robust controls, and develop steer-by-wire and EPS algorithms.

Translate requirements into system specs, perform stability analyses, and run SIL testing with MATLAB/Simulink under a Senior Engineer.

Collaborate with customers and MDK to integrate algorithms and ensure safe drive-system operation across multiple modes.

Qualifications

• Presenting to external customers using PowerPoint; performing linear system analysis, EPS stability analysis, behavioral model analysis, and SIL development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Modeling systems and sub-system dynamics, and creating robust control designs for steer-by-wire and vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Model systems and sub-system dynamics and create robust controls designs.
• Design and develop algorithms for steer-by-wire systems and EPS functions.
• Translate vehicle level requirements into system requirements.
• Generate subsystem allocations to meet system requirements.
• Develop next generation vehicle control systems.
• Develop diagnostics and protection mechanisms.
• Develop requirements for sensors and actuators.
• Develop new control algorithms as needed.
• Perform stability analyses to ensure operating modes.
• Work with customers to ensure stable and safe system operations.
• Work with MDK for integrating the system level algorithms.
• Work under the direction of a Senior Engineer.
