Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer – Engine Controls in Mossville, IL.

The role focuses on developing embedded software for engine control systems across diesel and electric programs and supports full software lifecycles from configuration to bench testing. Ideal candidates have a strong C background, experience with Model-Based Development, and excellent debugging skills, plus collaboration across platform, machine, and display software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with an embedded software focus.
• 5+ years of professional industry experience.
• Proficiency in C programming, Model-Based Development, and embedded control software development.
• Familiarity with debuggers and strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to share technical information and development progress within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and develop verification criteria.
• Develop embedded software library activities.
• Configure and build embedded software, including design, development, and validation of software flash files for application teams.
• Create, execute, and document test plans.
• Set up and configure test bench hardware and software.
• Complete mandatory and feature-specific testing using manual and automated methods.
• Troubleshoot software and system defects and provide customer support for system and software issues.
