Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Subject to drug testing and medical examination.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license; CDL may be required.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and directs a fire engine crew and exercises lead duties.
• Applies firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography, weather, and fuels knowledge.
• Plans actions and directs use of fireline resources; adapts to changing conditions.
• Directs suppression operations and tactical fire attack; mopping and rehab of firelines.
• Assists with fuels management projects, training programs, and data collection.
