Job summary

Actalent is seeking hands-on Engine Development personnel to perform calibration development, mechanical testing, and component fabrication for engine testing. The role includes dyno testing, tuning using HP Tuners, and collaboration with engineers to optimize performance.

Based in Pontiac, MI, this contract position involves working in a lab setting with emissions equipment and test stands, with responsibilities spanning from tuning fuel tables to TIG welding and fabrication for test engines.

Qualifications

• Experience with engine testing and calibration in a lab setting.
• Ability to adjust fuel tables, air intake, spark and exhaust for performance.
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly of engine components.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate engines to optimize performance.
• Perform mechanical swapping of engine components with engineers.
• Operate manual testing on a dyno.
• Fabricate components for testing.
• TIG weld parts and components.
• Work with Test Engineer to manipulate fuel tables, air intake, spark and exhaust.
• Assemble/Modify engines for testing.
• Work at component level such as oil pumps, head or cam changes, fuel injectors.
