Job summary

MABBCO Motors in Texas is seeking an Engine Builder. This hands-on, detail-oriented role involves assembling engine components using basic hand tools and following a defined process to ensure quality and reliability.

You will inspect and clean components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, and camshafts, then test the finished engine on a QT-188 Simptest machine. The position emphasizes precision, stamina, and a machine-shop mindset in a long-standing remanufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a hands-on approach to motor work.
• Candidates must follow a defined assembly procedure with care and consistency.
• Experience with basic hand tools and a process-oriented mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble engine components using basic hand tools such as impact sockets, hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches.
• Carefully clean and inspect crankshafts, connecting rods and camshafts prior to assembly.
• Identify and correct problems that might arise during the assembly process.
• Test the completed engine on a QT-188 Simtest machine to ensure quality.

Engine Builder: This position is very detail-oriented, hands on and labor intensive. Engine Builders are responsible for assembling all the components of the engine using basic hand tools such as impact and sockets, hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches. Engine Builders must be process oriented and willing to follow an established procedure.

Engine Builders are responsible for carefully cleaning and inspecting components, such as, crankshafts, connecting rods, and camshafts prior to assembly. Engine Builders must be able to identify and correct problems that might arise during the assembly process.

After assembling the engine, Engine Builders are responsible for testing the completed unit on a QT-188 Simstest machine.
