Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is recruiting an Engine Assembly Technician in Ohio to join the Manufacturing Department. You will assemble precise engine subassemblies, align components to tight tolerances and support testing and improvements in a high-performance environment.

The role offers a first shift with 4x10 schedules and overtime. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 3–7 years of precision assembly experience in advanced engines or electromechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
• 3–7 years of precision mechanical assembly experience in high-tolerance environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T and assembly schematics.
• Experience with seal installation, press fits, torque and preload fastening.

Responsibilities

• Assemble engine subassemblies and linear generator interfaces to tight tolerances.
• Perform axial/concentric alignment of components with precision.
• Execute precision stack-up assemblies for efficiency and reliability.
• Install/seal interfaces for high-pressure, high-heat environments.
• Support testing, teardown and improvements from test feedback.

Our client, a leader in advanced power systems and innovative engineering solutions, is seeking a Engine Assembly Technician to join their team. As a Engine Assembly Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Engine Assembly team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong mechanical skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engine Assembly Technician

Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift.Working a 4x10 + mandatory overtime on Friday
Monday - Thursday 7:00 am -5:30with a half hour lunch.
Friday is 7:00 to 4:00.

What's the Job?

• Assemble Karno™ linear engine subassemblies, including reactor, heater, chillers, seal systems, and linear generator interfaces
• Perform axial and concentric alignment of linear components to tight tolerances
• Execute precision stack-up controlled assemblies, ensuring tolerance accuracy for efficiency and reliability
• Install and verify critical sealing interfaces supporting high-pressure, high-heat environments
• Support testing, teardown, inspection, and iterative improvements based on test feedback

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification, military training, or trade school preferred
• 3–7 years of precision mechanical assembly experience, ideally in advanced engine, aerospace, or high-tolerance electromechanical environments
• Experience with seal installation, press fits, torque, and preload-controlled fastening
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and assembly schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in measurement tools and attention to detail
