Job summary

Aerotek in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for the engine line. You will assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and gauges, perform pre-paint prep, and help test engine components to meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have hands-on assembly experience, basic reading of schematics/blueprints, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. This contract-to-hire role offers onsite work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with first/second shift options.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly and using hand/power/torque tools.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints; basic math skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and pre-paint wash/prep, masking, sanding, and painting.
• Repair and operate specialized engine testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and train others as needed.
• Assist in other departments when required.
• Assemble and test parts for locomotive engines and alternators.
