Job summary

Girls Inc. of Chicago is seeking a Substitute Program Facilitator to implement a wide variety of enrichment activities for grades K-12, year-round, during the school year and during out-of-school time when needed.

The Substitute Facilitator is responsible for leading instruction, and curriculum-based content for hands-on/minds-on activities designed to increase knowledge, strengthen self-confidence, and cultivate communication and other pro-social skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in early childhood education, education, youth development, or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience working with youth in program settings.
• Ability to travel to multiple Chicago sites and work 8am-6pm.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a wide variety of enrichment activities for grades K-12, year‑round, during the school year and out-of-school hours when needed.
• Lead instruction and curriculum-based content for hands-on/minds-on activities to build knowledge, confidence, and communication.
• Support Girls Inc. of Chicago by participating in organization-wide initiatives and ensuring safe, engaging programming.
• Visit multiple school sites throughout Chicago, primarily the South Side, and adapt activities as required.
