Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate field from accredited university required.
• Master's or other advanced degree preferred.
• Several years of experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with College Board AP curricula preferred, but not required.
• Experience teaching students with learning challenges preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full load of Spanish classes, to possibly include Spanish I, Spanish II, and/or an Alternative Instruction (AIP) class.
• Using teacher content materials, plan engaging course content and instructional methods based on benchmarks and standards.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in professional development.
• Participate in campus and community events.
• Develop positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Collaborate with World Language department teachers to continually review curricula.
