Job summary

The Simulation & Immersive Learning Center at Texas A&M University is seeking a part-time Simulated Participant to portray patients, family members, or healthcare professionals in high-fidelity scenarios. You will support experiential learning by delivering realistic portrayals and consistent performance across sessions.

You will attend mandatory training, review case scripts, and provide learner-centered feedback while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication abilities to portray roles realistically and provide effective feedback.
• Ability to memorize and recall detailed case information to ensure consistency in portrayal.
• Emotional intelligence and adaptability to respond appropriately to diverse learner interactions.
• Comfort with receiving and incorporating constructive feedback to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Role portrayal: accurately and consistently portray assigned roles based on case scenarios.
• Maintain realism and repeatability in physical, emotional, and verbal responses.
• Adapt portrayals to meet needs of learners across various health professions.
• Provide learner-centered feedback on communication, history-taking, and interpersonal skills.
