• Highly qualified in core subjects as defined in the section titled “NCLB and Credentialing Requirements”.
• Understanding of subjects assigned.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and use lesson plans that conform to the charter’s curriculum.
• Collaborate with special education teachers on student IEPs to ensure modifications are met.
• Communicate with parents, principals, and teachers through conferences.
• Maintain classroom management and organize instructional activities.
• Participate in professional development and staff committees as necessary.
