Job summary

Servingschools is seeking a substitute school bus driver for RSU40 routes in Friendship, Waldoboro, Warren, Washington and Union, Maine. The role requires a valid Maine CDL with PY endorsement, CHRC, and a high school diploma.

You will provide safe student transport and maintain routes with timely, courteous service. Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, reporting issues, enforcing safety policies, and punctual attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires CHRC clearance.
• Current Maine CDL with PY endorsement and ability to meet state physicals.
• Strong safety and student supervision awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and apply district policies and procedures.
• Follow instructions and maintain student safety on all trips.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and maintain discipline on bus.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus and ensure timely trips and routes.
• Report accidents or discipline issues to transportation director.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies.
• Perform other duties assigned by transportation director.
• Participate in ongoing professional growth as needed.
