Job summary

RSU 40/MSAD 40 SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a school bus driver to provide safe transportation for students to and from school and activities. The role requires a valid Maine CDL with PY endorsement, CHRC clearance, and adherence to all safety regulations.

Pay ranges from $24.79 to $30.24 per hour. Candidates must meet state requirements and demonstrate dependable, professional conduct while on duty.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) is required.
• Maine driver's license and CDL with PY endorsement are required.
• Meet all State requirements (physical, etc.).
• Aptitude and ability to interact with students, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Read, reason, and understand policies and procedures and related information.
• Follow verbal, written or demonstrated instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Transport authorized students, staff and chaperones safely and responsibly.
• Maintain discipline and report all incidents as required.
