Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant to implement engaging activities for residents at the Elizabethtown campus. The role focuses on enriching daily life, promoting purpose, and facilitating social engagement within the long-term care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma and preferred experience in dementia care and recreation programming.

Competenze

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience with recreation programming in long term care or similar field preferred.
• Previous experience with individuals with dementia preferred.
• Strong written, oral, organization and basic computer skills.

Mansioni

• Carry out a comprehensive recreation program to enrich daily life and promote purpose and connection for residents.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programming to support physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Use written and verbal communication to share assessments and participation records.
• Collaborate with Recreation/Music Therapist to create monthly neighborhood calendars and help manage the Therapeutic Recreation budget.
• Ensure resident-centered approaches and effective communication with therapy and neighborhood teams.
