Job summary

Atlanta Technical College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Health Information Management Technology. The role is part-time and based at the Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta, reporting to the Dean of Health and Public Safety Technology.

You will deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and support success. Adjunct positions are temporary and per-term, with up to twenty-nine hours per week.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of instructional experience in a healthcare or academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical and occupational courses in alignment with course curriculum.
• Provide instruction on health information systems, medical coding, data analytics, and healthcare compliance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends while supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
• Attend staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences; and perform additional duties as assigned.
