Job summary

Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Part-time Educator to facilitate school tours for TK–12 students, focusing on Jewish culture, immigration, and archaeology.

You will use interactive teaching strategies and be part of the Education Programs team, with mornings tours Tue–Fri and a Saturday shift, totaling 24–28 hours per week.

This role supports teamwork, active student engagement, and a welcoming environment across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or leading interactive programs for TK–12 students.
• Background in museum education, storytelling, theater, puppetry, music, archaeology, or related fields.
• Strong public speaking and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive, inquiry-based experiences for students and families, indoors and outside, using movement, storytelling, music, puppetry, and hands-on activities.
• Prepare tour materials, organize supplies, and supervise students during lunch on campus at the Skirball.
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators and Skirball team members to create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
