Job summary

Geneva County Schools is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to provide an engaging educational environment and support student growth across intellectual, emotional, physical and social development. The teacher will implement curriculum, assess progress and maintain a safe, orderly classroom aligned with district goals.

The candidate must hold a State of Alabama teaching certificate, possess knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and demonstrate strong communication with students,

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Certified by the State of Alabama in the appropriate area.
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create or select long-range plans based on a review of system and state curriculum priorities, student profiles and instructional priorities.
• Define goals and objectives for unit and daily plans.
• Sequence content and activities appropriately.
• Identify specific intended learning outcomes which are challenging, meaningful and measurable.
• Revise plans based on student needs.
