Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. seeks enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Silver Spring, MD. Lead fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students, using our structured curriculum, with travel between local schools.

Teach 1–5 classes per week on weekday afternoons, earning $50–$65 per class. Mileage reimbursement provided for trips over 15 miles; full training, materials, and opportunities for advancement are included.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children.
• Ability to lead engaging, interactive sessions.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals.
• Manage a lively, positive classroom environment.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols during arrival, dismissal, and activities.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
• Arrive on time, prepared and ready to engage students.
