Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching students.

This is a part-time, hourly role requiring completion of substitute teacher training and responsibility for delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe classroom, and coordinating with the teacher and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.
