Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to adapt to varying needs.
  • Maintain certification in first aid and CPR, and a tuberculosis screening.
  • Ability to provide professional references and clear extensive background checks.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a high-quality afterschool program with enrichment activities.
  • Facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate activities encouraging creativity and teamwork.
  • Follow daily lesson plans and adapt activities to learners’ needs.
  • Provide hands-on learning experiences and opportunities for exploration.
  • Coordinate with the Youth Program Supervisor on successes and improvements.
  • Maintain supervision and a safe environment following program procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
