Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking a dedicated Group Tutor for an in-person role at a single school site in Union City, CA. You will support elementary and middle school students (K-8) in a collaborative after-school setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Education or related field, plus a teaching credential or active enrollment in a teacher preparation program. This is a 3–4 day-per-week, after-school position requiring on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field is required.
• Preferred teaching credential or enrollment in a teacher prep program.
• In-person work at a designated school site is required.
• Experience tutoring or teaching elementary/middle school students in group settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality academic tutoring and enrichment to small groups of elementary and/or middle school students (grades K-8).
• Implement age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned to core subjects (reading, writing, math).
• Maintain a positive, organized classroom environment that motivates young learners.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide growth.
• Collaborate with school-site coordinators and teachers to align tutoring with curriculum.
