Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. in Temecula, CA seeks enthusiastic instructors to teach after-school chess sessions to 10–15 elementary students. Provide a fun, safe, and engaging learning experience with our curriculum, and travel between local school sites.

Schedule is weekday afternoons (2:00 PM–5:00 PM). Pay is per class, with 1–5 classes weekly; full training and ongoing support are provided, plus opportunities for advancement and a friendly company culture.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, engaging sessions.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor with reliable conduct.
• Desire to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain moves and tactics to kids.
• Ability to connect chess problem-solving to real-life scenarios.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive between locations.
• Availability weekday afternoons (2:00 PM–5:00 PM) for 1–5 classes weekly.
• Commitment to safety policies and school procedures.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.
