Job summary

The Waters in Indiana is hiring an Activity Assistant to support our activity team and residents. You will assist the Activity Director in delivering a planned program, transport residents to activities, and help maintain records in compliance with policy.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team to create engaging, safe, and enjoyable activities for residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Aides assist the recreational activities leader or activities director, helping patients or participants use equipment and supplies.
• Prepare equipment and ensure the safety of patients or participants in the activity.
• Assist in leading the participants in group activities, such as an exercise class or art project.
• Proper record keeping of equipment and its use.
• Assist in planning programs for residents, which can help to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
