Job summary

You will organize events, coordinate field trips, and ensure accurate progress notes while maintaining resident safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to follow directions.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and conduct activities for the facility.
• Involve residents and family members in planning whenever possible.
• Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.
• Ensure all charted activity progress notes are descriptive and detailed.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and work collaboratively with all staff.
• Follow Infection Control policies and Safety and Sanitation procedures.
• Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazards to a supervisor.
• Protect each resident's file and data with confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Abide by all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user IDs and passwords.
