We are looking for a professional, customer service-oriented individual to join our Aitkin team as an Engagement Specialist (Teller). This position is responsible for executing financial transactions for our members, including opening foundational accounts in a timely and accurate manner to promote and maintain positive member relationships. The ability to effectively build relationships with prospective and existing members is of the utmost importance as each person’s financial journey is different. A successful day for an Engagement Specialist includes educating our members on credit union products and services while consistently providing an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of service to all credit union members.
  • Identify members’ financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Execute accurate financial transactions.
  • Leverage MCCU resources to remain current with credit union policies, procedures, products and services

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a customer-focused role.
  • Intermediate to advanced user level experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both verbally and in writing, to individuals with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
  • Comfortable with continuous interactions with the public throughout the workday.
  • Experience in, and comfortable with, deescalating issues with upset members.

Schedule

  • Schedule will vary, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
  • Full-time, 37-40 hours per week
  • Pay is hourly
  • Starting pay range: $18-$19/hr, pay commensurate with experience
