World Bank Group in Washington, DC invites applications for the Senior Financial Officer (Engagement Manager) to lead capacity-building initiatives for public asset management clients and to design outreach strategies for RAMP members in collaboration with TREAP/TREAA.

The role requires advanced degrees, 10+ years in asset management at official-sector or international organizations, and proven leadership, research, and communication skills to advance governance, policy, and risk management

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in economics, finance, mathematics or financial engineering.
• Ten years of relevant experience in a senior position at official sector asset management or an international development organization.
• Broad knowledge of investment management, macroeconomics, fiscal and monetary policy as they relate to sovereign asset management.
• Curiosity and ability to perform research in RAMP-related areas.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and engagements simultaneously.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Self-motivation and ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, team-based environment.
• Ability to promote participation across boundaries and collaborate across units and partners.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications; fluency in Arabic, French, or Spanish is highly desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead capacity-building initiatives for member institutions and map to defined performance indicators.
• Advance individual initiatives at member institutions and champion progress with sensitivity to member norms and culture.
• Train RAMP members on investment policy, strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction.
• Provide briefings to investment committees and boards on governance and risk management topics.
• Design outreach strategies and improve supporting materials for the RAMP program.
• Co-lead workshops and deliver presentations, case studies, and policy notes.
• Collaborate with Treasury and other World Bank Group units to deliver technical assistance.
• Represent WBG and RAMP to senior representatives of member institutions and external partners.
• Contribute to research, working papers and blogs on asset management topics.
• Lead corporate and member reporting activities and write briefing notes as needed.
