MathCo, a global Enterprise AI and Analytics company, seeks an Engagement Manager with deep Insurance domain expertise to lead analytics engagements for insurance carriers. Qualifications

  • 8–12 years in analytics, AI, or transformation with client leadership.
  • 5+ years leading analytics/pricing/actuarial programs in insurance.
  • Strong track record coordinating Pricing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Analytics, and Tech.
  • Deep understanding of pricing methodologies, renewal strategies, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager with deep Insurance domain expertise to lead strategic AI and advanced analytics engagements for leading insurance carriers. This role is specifically focused on helping clients improve pricing effectiveness, renewal performance, customer retention, and portfolio profitability through advanced analytics and AI-driven decision solutions.

As part of the Customer Success team, you will work closely with business leaders across Pricing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Analytics, and Technology functions to solve complex insurance business challenges and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines strong insurance domain expertise with experience leading analytics and transformation programs and has direct experience partnering with pricing and actuarial teams on initiatives related to rate optimization, renewal pricing strategy, retention, persistency, and profitability improvement.

The Role Will Involve
  • Partnering with Pricing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Analytics, and Technology stakeholders to define business objectives, analytical problems, solution roadmaps, and success metrics.
  • Leading engagements focused on pricing optimization, rate strategy, renewal pricing, customer retention, persistency, portfolio profitability, and risk segmentation.
  • Working directly with pricing and actuarial teams to evaluate pricing performance, rate indications, customer behavior, retention drivers, and business outcomes.
  • Translating complex insurance business challenges into scalable AI and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Managing delivery across multidisciplinary teams spanning Data Science, Data Engineering, MLOps, Application Engineering, and Business Analysis.
  • Understanding analytical methodologies, assumptions, constraints, trade-offs, and model outputs to facilitate effective discussions with technical teams, actuaries, underwriters, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicating analytical insights, recommendations, delivery progress, risks, and business impact to senior client stakeholders.
  • Driving executive-level stakeholder communication, governance, risk management, issue resolution, and alignment across client and internal teams.
  • Driving solution adoption through stakeholder engagement, demonstrations, user validation, UAT, pilots, and change management.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand client engagements through AI and advanced analytics-led transformation initiatives.
  • Operating effectively within a global delivery model and coordinating across diverse teams and time zones.

Required Experience
  • 8-12 years of experience in consulting, analytics, AI, digital transformation, or related client-facing leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytics, pricing, actuarial, or transformation programs within insurance organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with Pricing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Analytics, and Technology stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of insurance pricing methodologies, renewal strategy, retention management, profitability analysis, portfolio management, and risk segmentation.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting or leading initiatives involving rate optimization, renewal pricing, retention strategy, pricing analytics, or actuarial decision‑making.
  • Experience evaluating analytical approaches such as price elasticity modeling, retention modeling, persistency analysis, predictive modeling, optimization, or decision science.
  • Ability to engage credibly with pricing actuaries, actuarial leadership, underwriting executives, product teams, and analytics leaders.
  • Experience leading enterprise AI, advanced analytics, or data‑driven transformation programs from business problem definition through implementation and adoption.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading global, cross‑functional teams spanning Data Science, Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex consulting engagements, including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and commercial commitments.
