Job summary

BGBx Consulting is seeking an Engagement Lead in Life Sciences Consulting to manage day-to-day engagements, guide consultants, and interact directly with clients in the Washington, D.C. area.

The role requires 3–5 years in strategy consulting or related fields, with advanced degrees preferred. You will lead teams, develop insights, and partner with senior leaders on business development and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of strategy consulting, market research, or other relevant project-based work experience.
• S. or B.A degree from a top four-year college or university in Science, Health, or Business concentration.
• D. or Master’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred in Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device companies (Strategy/Marketing/Operations/BD).
• Business research and analysis experience with data synthesis and clear conclusions.
• Demonstrated experience leading workstreams and small project teams.
• Experience presenting to senior business leaders.
• Foreign language skills preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage one engagement from start to finish, setting project schedules and guiding team members.
• Lead small project teams, coach members, and prepare client presentations.
• Support business development by delivering high-quality work and fostering client relationships.
• Serve as a strategy partner to clients and senior firm officers.
• Act as a key point of contact between the team, senior officers, and clients.
