Job summary

The State of Iowa - Executive Branch seeks an Engagement Coordinator (Program Planner 3) in Des Moines to lead implementation efforts for the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Program. This full-time role coordinates activities, supports workforce development, and promotes evidence-based public health strategies.

You will plan program activities, build partnerships, manage reviews and budgets, analyze data to inform decisions, prepare reports and annual plans, and deliver trainings.

Qualifications

• Seven years of full-time work experience in administration or operation of a program.
• One year of full-time work experience in administration or operation of a program with related responsibilities; and
• A total of four years of education and full-time experience as described; and
• A total of two years of graduate-level education and full-time experience; and
• Graduation from an accredited school of law.
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch at the required level as described.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement program activities.
• Coordinate workforce engagement and training.
• Develop education, messaging, and communication strategies.
• Manage partnerships and coalitions.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and work plans.
• Analyze data to inform program decisions.
• Deliver or coordinate presentations and trainings.
• Develop communication materials and annual plans.
• Support evaluation and quality improvement activities.
• Oversee contractor-led work.
• Maintain implementation activities under the cooperative agreement.
• Collaborate across the Agency and with external partners.
• Promote evidence-based interventions.
• Track outcomes and monitor program progress.
• Support professional development opportunities for healthcare, public health, and caregiver audiences.
