Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead consulting engagements, manage delivery and budgets, and shape project roadmaps for state and local government clients.

You will oversee teams, produce high‑quality deliverables, and mentor junior colleagues while applying AI insights to drive outcomes. A strong ERP Cloud background (Oracle/Workday/SAP) and consultancy experience are required.

Qualifications

• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years ERP Cloud Consulting experience (Oracle/Workday/SAP).
• Experience in a well-regarded management consultancy and project delivery.
• Proven leadership of people and engagement teams.
• Experience in state and local government engagements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engagements, budgeting, scoping, and project roadmaps to meet SOW goals.
• Create high‑quality deliverables like decks, docs, and models.
• Build credibility with client management and manage expectations.
• Develop engagement hypotheses and train others on techniques.
• Provide timely feedback and coach teams.
• Leverage AI to identify opportunities in client work.
• Assist in client interviews and workshops; meet utilization targets.
• Participate in hiring and mentor junior associates.
