Job summary

Brown University’s Swearer Center seeks a Communications and Engagement Coordinator to support outreach, produce narrative stories, and coordinate engagement with diverse constituencies. You’ll develop materials across platforms and assist with editing, calendars, and visual assets.

The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and organization, with a hybrid work setup and a travel component largely within the Providence area. A Bachelor’s with 1–2 years’ related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years related experience (preferably in a marketing or communications setting) or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Experience editing and producing content across platforms and coordinating projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide communications support across the Swearer Center and produce stories highlighting impact.
• Coordinate engagement with students, faculty, staff, alumni and partners.
• Develop and manage materials for social media, newsletters, websites and print pieces.
