Job summary

The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky (BIA) seeks a Communications & Engagement Coordinator to own organizational communications, coordinate events and meetings, and support member engagement.

This role blends writing, research and project management with event production, ensuring accurate, timely communications and successful execution across programs in Erlanger, Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience in communications, marketing, public relations or related field.
• Experience with content management, email marketing and social media.
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to research unfamiliar topics and produce clear content.

Responsibilities

• Create content for websites, emails, newsletters, social media, publications and presentations.
• Manage communications calendar across membership, advocacy, workforce development, events and initiatives.
• Maintain websites and digital platforms, ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Coordinate events and meetings from planning through follow-up and closeout.
• Ensure sponsor commitments and benefits are fulfilled in collaboration with sponsorship team.
• Document recurring event processes for future efficiency.
