Job summary

King George County Schools is seeking Substitute Teachers and Substitute Paraprofessionals to support daily instruction in King George, Virginia. This role requires readiness to step in when regular teachers are absent and to follow lesson plans to maintain learning continuity.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of subject matter, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Training and onboarding are provided as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of subject matter and instructional methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises student in a variety of school-related settings.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes.
• Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to students' development.
• Teaches or assists in lessons per absent teacher's plans or as directed.
• Assumes responsibility for pupil behavior in class, lunch, and drills.
• Works effectively with students at all levels and coordinates with teachers/administrators.
