Job summary

King George County Schools is seeking a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to serve as a substitute school nurse in King George, Virginia. The role supports students in the absence of the regular nurse and requires CPR certification and Virginia licensure.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Virginia as RN or LPN and CPR certified.
• Experience providing school health services or pediatric care is a plus.
• Good communication with school staff, students and families is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school health services including physical assessments and immunization reviews.
• Provide medications administration per state regulations.
• Care for ill children on a daily basis and provide first aid as needed.
• Advise principal on exclusion and readmission for infectious illnesses.
• Coordinate with medical professionals and staff as required.
