Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Solomons, Maryland is hiring a part time Substitute Teacher. This role reports to the Principal. The hourly pay is $15.00.

Responsibilities include supporting student learning across subjects, maintaining classroom order, and modeling professional behavior in a Catholic school setting. Candidates should be able to work with diverse student groups and follow school procedures.

Qualifications

• Understanding of appropriate teaching methods for students in the corresponding grade.
• Willingness and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Capability to organize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines; manage both small and large groups.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies, internet and email systems, and word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of technology and its use in instruction to enhance student learning.
• Proficiency in using office equipment as needed.
• Respect for Catholic identity, mission, values and traditions of the school.
