Job summary

OPmobility is seeking an Energy & Water Sustainability Intern to analyze utility data, build dashboards, and support energy efficiency initiatives. You will work with Excel and Power BI, develop management reports, and help advance metering and ISO 50001 programs in a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, clear communication of technical findings, and supporting sustainable practices across manufacturing and facilities.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, energy management or related field.
  • Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and utility data analysis.
  • Ability to develop presentations and management reports.
  • Strong ability to convert technical reports into clear, decision-ready information.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate electricity, natural gas, and water usage with dashboards and KPIs.
  • Translate Schneider Electric Audit findings into site-level analysis and support metering roadmap.
  • Identify top water consumers and evaluate sub-metering opportunities.
  • Support ISO 50001 foundations by preparing baselines, EnPIs, and data management.
  • Track energy performance metrics and data sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate electricity, natural gas, and water usage through clear dashboards, trend analysis, KPIs, and management summaries.
  • Utilize Schneider Electric Energy & Sensor Audit reports to:
    • Translate findings into consistent site-level analysis.
    • Support metering roadmap development.
    • Track deployment and implementation progress.
  • Use the water consumption model to:
    • Identify the top five water consumers.
    • Prioritize sub-metering opportunities.
    • Evaluate leak detection technologies.
    • Support intelligent water reduction initiatives.
  • Support ISO 50001 foundations by:
    • Preparing energy baselines.
    • Developing and maintaining Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs).
    • Managing data sources.
    • Tracking energy performance metrics.
Education
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Environmental Science
    • Sustainability
    • Energy Management
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Or a related field
Language Skills
  • Spanish preferred.
Professional Training / Working Skills
