Job summary

Airswift has been tasked to fill an Energy & Utilities Laboratory Technician position in Theodore, Alabama. The role is a one-year, W2 contract with 12-hour day shifts (5am–5pm) and built-in PTO coverage for other shift technicians. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 3% matching.

Responsibilities cover routine sampling, instrument calibration, ISO documentation, and WET testing. Qualifications include analysis, data entry (SAP/Excel), safety compliance, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Analyse and document routine samples from production and on-site customers.
• Interpret and evaluate results before reporting to production.
• Coordinate, set-up, and perform WET testing on vertebrate and invertebrate species as required.
• Data entry into spreadsheet and SAP system.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and follow 5S and ISO procedures.

Job description

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to find a Energy & Utilities Laboratory Technician to work for initially One-Year contract in Theodore, Alabama.
Work Schedule: 5/40 – 12h/day (5am to 5pm)
Job Type: W2 contract (One Year with possibility for extension)

Requirements

• Analyse and document routine samples from production and on-site customers
• Interpret and evaluate results before reporting to production
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory instrumentation, including inline and portable/hand-held instruments
• Validate instruments by use of references and standards
• Data entry into spreadsheet and SAP system
• Review and follow written SOPs while assisting in maintaining all ISO documentation. Help ensure training procedures are up-to-date
• Maintain dry storeroom (supplies)
• Maintain clean and safe work area. Participate in 5S programs and other continuous improvement initiatives
• Safety – Attend safety meetings, comply with site EHSSQ goals and regulations.
• Hours – Twelve-hour rotating day shifts with built in PTO coverage for other shift technicians
• Training – Assist in OJT for new technicians
• Maintain DMRQ certification
• Coordinate, set-up, and perform whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing on vertebrate and invertebrate species as required.
• This position will interface with production and engineering teams. Applicants will be required to communicate analytical results.
• This position requires frequent use of a company watercraft to collect samples. This requires the candidate to obtain and maintain watercraft certification and demonstrate safe operation and maintenance of watercraft and associated analytical instruments
