Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Application Engineer for Energy, Utilities & Digital Grid Solutions to act as a technical SME across electric utilities, renewable generation, transmission and distribution, and substation design.

This home-based role involves supporting evaluations, demonstrations, and adoption activities while connecting customer challenges with Bentley technologies and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electric utilities, power generation, renewable energy, transmission and distribution or related field.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Experience working directly with users, engineering teams, or customers.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for engineering and business audiences.

Responsabilités

• Support sales pursuits through technical discovery, solution alignment, demonstrations, workshops, and PoC activities.
• Participate in customer-facing meetings to understand business challenges and requirements.
• Translate industry challenges into solution-based recommendations.
• Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Account Managers on strategic opportunities.
• Deliver presentations to technical and executive audiences.
• Assist with proposal responses, technical evaluations, and competitive positioning.
• Develop and maintain expertise across Bentley’s energy and utility portfolio.
• Advise users and project teams throughout evaluation and adoption activities.
• Capture feedback and communicate enhancement opportunities to Product Management.
• Build and maintain demonstration materials and industry-specific workflows.
