Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's 1898 & Co. unit in Denver is seeking an Energy & Utilities Analyst to support power system studies, finance analyses, and economic assessments for fossil and renewable generation, transmission and distribution.

Under supervision of a consultant or project manager, you will develop solutions, perform cost forecasts, evaluate regulatory impacts, design and review drawings, and prepare client presentations and technical reports for utility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering, financial, and economic conditions to support client projects.
• Assist with life-cycle cost analyses and capital/operating costs.
• Support regulatory-impacted technical assessments and drawings.
• Assist with power system planning, power flow, and reliability studies.
• Prepare client presentations, engineering reviews, and financial analyses.
• Support Utility Consulting business lines as required by clients.
