Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Lead Analyst - Clean Energy Policy to support the Energy Transition strategy across New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine. You will lead policy research, regulatory filings, and cross‑functional collaboration to advance electrification, grid modernization, and decarbonization initiatives.

You will coordinate with regulators, stakeholders, and internal teams, preparing strategic analyses and executive communications for leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Energy Management, Business, or related field with 8+ years experience.
• Strong research, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective written communication, including reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of Energy Transition strategy across NY, CT, MA and ME.
• Provide policy, regulatory, analytical and project management leadership.
• Develop strategic recommendations and executive communications.
• Monitor policy developments and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration.
• Assist regulatory filings, rate cases and information requests.
• Prepare briefings and presentations for leadership decision‑making.
