The position is a two-year fixed term with full benefits, reporting to the Manager of Energy Transition & Carbon Markets, and requires collaboration with EDF colleagues and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience and an Associate's degree required. A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, public policy, economics, or a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of related experience.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize technical information for policy audiences.
• Demonstrated interest in climate policy and environmental equity.
• Proactive and strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support development and refinement of EDF's advocacy strategy around priority energy transition policies in key states, including carbon markets and regulatory efforts to facilitate electric power sector decarbonization.
• Assist in representing EDF in key external forums, with coalition partners, and the media and provide support for rapid-response inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct timely in-house research and analysis, including of proposed regulations and legislation.
• Analyze policies across a range of metrics, including emissions outcomes and economic, health, and equity implications.
• Work with communications colleagues to contribute to communications strategies to support advocacy goals.
• Participate in advancing EDF's Organizational Effectiveness and Culture (OEC) goals, so people from all backgrounds feel connected, included, and empowered to address environmental and organizational challenges.
