Overview

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, offers a full‑time opportunity for a junior lawyer with 0‑2 years of experience in our Energy and Natural Resources practice group in Houston. The Associate will work closely with the team on a variety of complex domestic and international energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, project contracts, and related transactional matters across conventional, renewable, and transitional energy sectors.

About the Practice

GT’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice brings together attorneys from across the firm and globally to advise energy clients on business matters. Attorneys have broad transactional, project development, regulatory, and litigation experience across sectors such as oil and gas, LNG, electricity, minerals, wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources. The multi‑office platform with key energy‑center offices enables us to serve clients across the U.S. and international markets.

Job Requirements

• 0–2 years of post‑JD experience (energy experience is a plus).
• J.D. degree (or pending J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission or pending admission to one or more state bars, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• In good standing with the Texas State Bar; if not admitted in Texas, must sit for the Texas Bar Exam in summer 2026.
• Highly motivated, diligent, energetic, with excellent writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
