Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking an Associate for our Energy & Natural Resources practice in the United States. You will break down complex business problems, deliver structured analyses, and guide junior team members while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to strategic problem solving, risk assessment, and transformation initiatives across energy value chains, with travel to client sites as needed and a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• At least 4–6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in energy-related sectors.
• Depth in energy & commodities — oil, gas/LNG, power; metals or ags a plus.
• Strategic mindset and transformation credentials; operating models and risk frameworks.
• Strong quantitative foundation (derivatives, risk measurement); AI/ML in trading risk a plus.
• Executive presence and client-facing potential; advise leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Break down complex problems into discrete tasks and identify key aspects.
• Plan and execute analysis; manage small teams to move projects forward.
• Work side by side with clients and project teams to deliver recommendations.
