Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Energy Technician. This is an entry-level position with training provided. You will travel throughout a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle to install energy efficiency measures at various sites, helping reduce consumer energy bills for utility and weatherization programs. No overnight travel is required.

• Install energy-saving measures such as attic insulation, caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, thermostats, and electric water heaters
• Perform minor repairs including windows and doors
• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks
• Ensure measures installed meet program guidelines
• Help keep the job site organized and safe
• Assist with customer site setup and teardown

Physical Requirements

• Work under various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
• Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach, often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes
• Use repetitive hand motions and basic hand and power tools
• Use ladders at various heights (up to 3 stories)
• Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in residential construction is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate

Target Compensation

$20.50/hr

This position is safety-sensitive and may involve field work in industrial, commercial, or residential locations. Successful candidates must pass pre-employment drug testing and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

$17.75 - $25.05
