FischTank PR in New York, NY seeks an Account Director to lead day-to-day account and junior staff management while guiding media outreach and strategy. You will develop content, support client campaigns, and oversee outcomes with oversight from senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience at a PR agency working with Energy Tech companies.
• Demonstrable experience as an account lead, driving strategy and managing teams.
• Subject matter expertise within Energy Tech.
• Strong reporter relationships including top-tier and trade outlets.
• Initiative to achieve media results that impact client business.
• Strong writing skills for press releases, bylines, op-eds, and blogs.
• Open-minded, growth mindset, and desire to develop professionally.
• Receptive to feedback and collaborative in a team environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google (Search + G-Suite).
• Fundamental understanding of business use of social media.

Responsibilities

• Own account, team management, and media relations strategy for 6-8 accounts.
• Develop near-term and long-term client initiative roadmaps and pitch content.
• Lead client counsel and coordinate with junior staff to deliver results.
• Drive account success by preparing teammates for success and delivering own results.
• Showcase client and media communications via emails, calls, meetings, and events.
• Generate ideas supporting client initiatives across media, social, and content marketing.
• Support business development through prospect calls and local events.
• Relentless pursuit of client outcomes.
