Job summary

Rubenstein Public Relations, Inc. in New York seeks an experienced Account Director to lead our corporate PR team for finance and technology clients. You will guide strategy, manage programs, and build strong relationships with clients and media.

The role requires extensive pitching, day‑to‑day account operations, budget awareness, and mentorship of junior staff. This is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Midtown Manhattan with some remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PR, journalism, business communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of agency experience in general, financial, or business services industries.
• Established media contacts across all media.
• Proven ability to secure meaningful, high‑impact coverage across print, digital, broadcast, podcasts and speaking engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop PR strategies for clients and guide team through execution.
• Manage day‑to‑day account operations, keeping projects on track and within budget.
• Write press releases, pitches, messaging documents, strategy, and bylines.
• Pitch stories to journalists and secure coverage in B2B and B2C publications.
• Mentor junior team members and help them develop their skills.
• Support new business efforts and look for ways to grow existing accounts.
