Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and support projects across the full lifecycle—from design and procurement to commissioning and operations—primarily focused on power generation systems, turbine operations, and data-center infrastructure. Ideal candidates hold a ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering, 8–15 years of related experience, and are willing to travel 25–50%.

PE license and a Master’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Senior: ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• Staff: ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 12–15 years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• Willingness to travel 25% to 50%.
• Experience with EPC, FEED, or large capital projects preferred.
• Experience with maintenance programs, outage coordination, or operational systems preferred.
• PE License preferred.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering efforts across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, permitting, commissioning, and operations
• Analyze system and equipment performance to drive improvements in reliability, efficiency, and safety
• Support and advance power generation initiatives, including system performance optimization and maintenance strategies
• Collaborate with consultant engineering firms and internal engineering, drafting, purchasing, inspection, contracts, planning, and operations teams
• Support maintenance programs, outage planning, and troubleshooting efforts
• Lead design reviews and facilitate lessons learned initiatives
• Mentor and support the development of engineers and technical staff
• Lead or contribute to projects of increasing scope and complexity
• Design and optimize critical power generation systems supporting turbine operations, fuel gas systems, and overall facility performance
• Solve complex engineering challenges, improve system reliability, and contribute to long-term engineering strategy
