Job summary

The University of Nebraska Omaha seeks an experienced Manager, Energy Systems Operations to oversee EMCS, lighting controls, and utility metering across campus. You will lead project development, write specifications, prepare construction documents, and supervise technicians to ensure efficiency and reliability of energy systems.

You will identify energy conservation opportunities, manage contractors, and collaborate with facilities leadership to implement advanced energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in building HVAC systems or related field.
• Minimum five years' design and installation experience in HVAC EMS systems with project and personnel management.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or technical field preferred.
• Experience with Niagara/Tridium, BACnet & Siemens systems; EnergyCAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Energy Management and Controls System (EMCS), Lighting Controls and Utility Metering.
• Design projects, write specifications, prepare construction documents, and manage contractors.
• Supervise EMCS Technicians; provide energy conservation opportunities across campus.
• Maintain and analyze databases to generate management reports on energy usage and assist in energy conservation decisions.

Associate's degree in building HVAC systems related area
