Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks an Energy Systems Electrical Engineer to serve as the SME for the UMD NextGen Energy Program. The role focuses on electrical, instrumentation, and control facets of the energy systems, with strict onsite presence at the UMD College Park campus.

You will lead power system analyses, manage capital projects, and interface with vendors to ensure reliable, decarbonized campus energy delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
PE license in Maryland or ability to obtain reciprocity.
10+ years' experience in electrical systems design/operation (≥13.8 kV).
Experience with SKM Power*Tools for short circuit/coordination/arc flash.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for UMD Energy Systems.
Analyze and design medium voltage distribution, generation, and control systems.
Perform power systems studies and load-flow analyses.
Oversee SCADA/DCS data to optimize central energy plant performance.
Interface with vendors, manage capital projects from design to completion.
