Job summary

Aqua America, Inc., part of Essential Utilities, seeks a Corporate Energy Manager to optimize energy use across our operations. You will lead energy conservation initiatives, perform ASHRAE audits, and develop strategies to reduce costs and environmental impact at facilities across the US.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, 7+ years of energy management experience, and credentials such as CEM/CEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field.
• 7 years of relevant energy management experience.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or similar credential highly desirable.
• Proven experience in energy management, energy auditing, and implementation of energy conservation measures.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Advanced skills in Excel; SQL experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASHRAE energy audits (Levels 1-3) across assets.
• Develop and monitor energy management strategies and KPIs.
• Lead energy efficiency projects: pumps, motors, controls, and renewables.
• Analyze energy data; report savings and progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with facilities, finance, and operations; train staff on energy conservation.
